About TeachBits
Hello!
I’m Jeremy and I am the founder and director of TeachBits. Besides teaching part-time, I enjoy tutoring both online and in person. As a hobbyist techie, I also love developing the TeachBits site. I’ve been teaching for over 28 years, and after some time working in the industry, I dreamed of creating an online community where I could share my handpicked educational content and stories from the staffroom.
With more than 20 years of experience teaching mathematics in secondary comprehensive schools across Nottingham, London, and the South West, as well as 3 years of professional online teaching experience, I have a deep passion for helping students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 develop confidence in their mathematics.
Welcoming learners of all ages and abilities, I endeavour to deliver a personalised service where individuals feel empowered to engage with their learning and explore their mathematical curiosity. By sharing my platform with trusted freelance colleagues, I am also able to offer wider support in a range of subjects.
Whether you are a parent or carer seeking tuition for your child, a homeschooling family or adult learner looking for support, or a colleague wanting to know more about the TeachBits project, please make an appointment today for a call to discuss your needs.
I’m not really a green monster with big brains; for safeguarding purposes all avatars on the site default to little monters. I know how important it is for teachers to be safeguarded too, so you are invited to keep your identities private here. I’m not a fan of adverts either and there are far too many across the web, so you won’t find any here, other than the personal placement of handpicked resources.
* I hold all regulatory qualifications required of teachers in England and my enhanced DBS is available on the Update Service. Evidence of qualifications is available upon request.
